We have been made aware of a ‘spam-type’ email that has been sent to some patients in St Helens which is informing them of a Cancer Type Diagnosis. The e-mails appear to becoming from the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE).

We have been assured that these are not legitimate e-mails and NICE are aware of this and are currently investigating.

On 19th February, 2014, NHS England announced that it will delay its data-sharing scheme for six months to allow managers more time to build “understanding of the benefits”.

The NHS Summary Care Record 

Every household in England is receiving the leaflet ‘Better Information means better care leaflet’ during January. The leaflet helps to support us in raising awareness amongst patients about how their information is used for purposes beyond their direct care, including for the care.data programme. Hours of Opening:
Monday 8:00am - 7:30pm

(The surgery is closed between 1pm & 4pm on Mondays)
Tuesday to Friday  8:00am - 6:30pm
The telephone lines open weekdays at 8:30 am and close at 6:00pm

(Note: lines close 1:00pm - 4:00pm on Mondays)

Out of Hours Emergencies:
In an emergency phone the surgery as normal.
If you need to see a doctor you will be asked to attend an out of hours emergency centre.
